Martin has been involved in the Insurance Industry since 1969 and eventually “head hunted” to a North Sydney Brokerage from previously a large general underwriter background in 1975. It was there that Martin rapidly learnt, in the old-fashioned way, how to cater and provide for all the clients’ Insurance requirements.
A fortuitous break in 1983 created an opportunity to start his own successful insurance brokerage to cater directly to his valued clients and their ongoing referral clients.
Fast forward to 2018 after 35 years Martin is the founder and Managing Director of MKW Insurance Brokers, still supporting his loyal clients, tailoring solutions and leading the business.

Peter Di Maio, Director – over 18 years industry experience
Peter has been in the finance and insurance industry for over 22 years with more than 18 of those spent in insurance. He has extensive experience in all areas of general insurance. Starting his insurance career at a large Australian insurer, it wasn’t long before Peter’s reputation for fierce dedication to his clients attracted the attention of various brokerages. Since that time, Peter’s career has seen him in roles at large international and national brokerages building strong relationships with clients over the years. Many of these clients are still with him today. In line with the values of MKW Insurance Brokers, Peter’s philosophy is that in today’s world of commoditised insurance products, service being redirected to a computer or offshore call centre and customer advocacy being pushed further and further down the priority list; clients have a need for a knowledgeable, honest and hardworking insurance advisor that simply won’t compromise on the value he delivers. Peter does not tolerate complacency and prides himself on delivering solutions, not excuses.
